ZIYARAT TRAVEL :
HOLY SHRINES OF IRAN AND IRAQ IN H.S. 1300 (1871 AD WITH FAMILY )

FIRST PUBLICATION :
ZILKAD H.S. 1310 (1881 A.D.) PUBLISHED FIRST ISSUE OF RAH-E-NAJAT WHICH IS BEING PUBLISHED TILL DATE .

PRINTING PRESS :
H.S. 1314 (A.D. 1895) ESTABLISHED ITHNA ASHARI PRINTING PRESS AT AHMEDABAD AND WITH A VIEW  TO TABLIGH-E-DEEN, PUBLISHED HANDBILLS LEAF-LETS AND BOOKS.

GRAVEYARD :
IN H.S. 1314,(A.D. 1895) HE PURCHASED LAND FOR GRAVEYARD AT AHMEDABAD AND ENTRUSTED TO AHMEDABAD JAMAT.

A SHOCKING INCIDENCE AFTER SHIFTING :
HE BID FAREWELL TO AHMEDABAD  AND SETTLED IN BHAVNAGAR ESTABLISHED A CENTER OF TABLIGH. SEND HANDBILLS, LEAF-LETS AND BOOKS TO DIFFERENT COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD AND TO DIFFERENT PARTS OF INDIA AND DID GIGANTIC WORK OF GIVING RELIGIOUS GUIDANCE TO THE PEOPLE AND CLOUDS OF IGNORANCE WERE SHATTERING GRADUALLY. UNFORTUNATELY DUE TO SOME UNKNOWN REASONS  ON 16TH NOVEMBER 1932. (H.S. 1351)FIRE BROKE OUT IN THE PRINTING PRESS  AND VALUABLE  MANUSCRIPT BOOKS, BOOKS OF ACCOUNTS AND RIMS OF BLANCK PAPERS REDUCED TO ASHES. THOUGH THIS WAS A GREAT LOSS (APPROX RS.55,000/.) ALLAMA FACED THIS CALAMITY WITH COURAGE AND BRAVERY HAVING FULL FAITH IN ALLAH S.W.T. HE RE-STARTED HIS CAMPAIGN OF HIDAYAT AND CONTINUED HIS MISSION WITH MORE COURAGE AND VIGOR. HE ALSO RECEIVED LETTERS OF SYMPATHY FROM EVERY CORNER OF THE WORLD.

BOARDING :
HE POSSESSED A SORT OF PARTICULAR SENSE OF LOVE FOR ORPHANS. HE ESTABLISHED A BOARDING IN HIS AMIPARA (BHAVNAGAR) HOUSE AND USED TO IMPART DINI TALIM AND SCHOOL EDUCATION.

KITAB GHAR :
IN THIS BUILDING  RELIGIOUS BOOKS WERE STORED AND DISTRIBUTED.

JEHAD WITH PEN :
HE TRANSLATED VALUABLE BOOKS FROM ARABIC AND PERSIAN INTO GUJARATI. HE PRESENTED A LEGACY OF ABOUT 400 BOOKS TO OUR COMMUNITY. OUR COMMUNITY HAVE BEEN MAKING BEST USE OF THEM SINCE LAST ONE CENTURY.

VALUABLE JEWELS OF THE TREASURE :
GUJARATI TAFSIR OF QURAN-E-MAJID, COLLECTION OF DOAS (MAJMOOA), ZADUSSAL-E-HEEN, AHWAL-E-MASOOMEEN LOALO-WAL-MARJAN, HADIS-E-KISSA, MERAJUSSADAH, KASASUL-AMBIA, DURR-E-BEBAHA, AHVALUNNISSA, AHVAL-E-KARBLA, SEERAT-E-A`IMMAH ETC.

REVOLUTION BY PEN :
HE GAVE A UNIQUE CONTRIBUTION TO INVITE THE PEOPLE TO THE RIGHT PATH OF ITHNA ASHARI RELIGION BY GIVING MORE THEN TEN THOUSAND SPEECHES $ MIJALIS DESCRIBING THE LIFE SKETCH OF AMBIYAS AND AIMMA-E-TAHEREEN BY SACRIFICING HIS OWN SELF. HE TRAVELED ABOUT 38 TOWNS AND VILLAGES SURROUNDING BHAVNAGAR AND DISTANT PLACES AND COUNTRIES LIKE AHMEDABAD, KHAMBHAT, KANODAR, MUMBAI, KARACHI, HYDRABAD, MADAGASCAR, TANGANIKA AND NUMEROUS PLACES FOR THIS VERY NOBLE CAUSE AND INCREASED THE STRENGTH OF GUJARATI SPEAKING ITHNA ASHARI PEOPLE.

EXPODUES AND RETURN :
DURING HIS STAY IN AHMEDABAD HE WAS MENTALLY TORTURED, THEREFOR HE SHIFTED TO KHAMBHAT FOR THREE TO FOUR MONTHS. HE CONTINUED HIS WORK OF TABLIGH-E-DEEN DURING THIS PERIOD ALSO AND RETURNED TO AHMEDABAD AGAIN.

TRAVEL AND RIDING :

HE USED TO VISIT MADRESSAS OF SURROUNDING TOWNS AND VILLAGES  TO RECITE MAJALISE AZA. IN THOSE DAYS COMFORTABLE VEHICLES WERE NOT AVAILABLE SO HE TRAVEL IN BULLOCK CART, ON BICYCLE OR SOME TIMES ON FOOT ALSO AND RENDERED HIS NOBLE SERVICES OF TABBLIGH-E-DEEN.

INSEPIRABLE WORK :
HE USED TO ENCOURAGE THE CHILDREN OF MADRESAS BY PRESENTING CHOCOLATES
BISCUITS AND COINS. IF THERE WAS ANY DEFICIT IN THE SALARY OF MUDARRIS , HE ALSO USED TO COMPENSATE THE SAME FROM HIS OWN POCKET.

A UNIQUE PRECEDENT :
HE USED TO DISTRIBUTE SILVER COIN OF A RUPEE AND DRY FRUIT AFTER MAJALIS-E-AZA EVERY SHAB-E-JUMMA AT HIS RESIDENCE AT MALI’S TEKRA, AMBA CHOK, BHAVNAGAR.

KARACHI :

ON COMMING TO KNOW  ABOUT NON COMPLETION OF A MOSQUE, HE GOT COLLECTED REQUIRED FIEND BY AN APPEAL.


KANODAR :
MO’MENEEN OF KANODAR, NEAR PALANPUR ADOPTED MAZHAB-E-HAQQA AND WERE SEPARATED FROM THEIR FORMER JAMAT. IT WAS, THEREFORE NECESSARY TO CONSTRUCT A MASJID THERE. THE CONSTRUCTION WORK OF MASJID STARTED WITH THE HELP OF LOCAL PEOPLE AND MUMBAI’S RESIDENTS. BUT THE ARCHITECT AND DESIGNER JANAB THARIYANI INFORMED ALLAMA THAT THE WORK OF CONSTRUCTION WAS HELD UP FOR WANT OF FUNDS. HE IMMEDIATELY COLLECTED FUNDS FROM GENEROUS DONORS AND PLAYED AN IMPORTANT ROLE TO COMPLETE THIS HUGE MASJID. MOREOVER HE PLAYED AN IMPORTANT PART IN CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIRS, OF MANY OTHER RELIGIOUS PLACES.

NOTE :
LATE JANAB HAJI VALIBHAI NATHU DUDHWALA OF KANODAR RESIDING AT MUMBAI AND LATE HAJI AHMEDBHAI KARIMBHAI MAKNOJIA (HARARWALA) WERE THE ADMIRERS OF ALLAMA HAJI NAJI.

MEMORABLE MAJLISIS :
FIRST ASHARA OF MOHARRAM WAS ARRANGED IN THE HOUSE OF HAJI AHMEDBHAI KARIMBHAI AT KANODAR. THIS PROGRAM WAS CONTINUED FOR MANY YEARS. HAJI NAJI SAHEB HAS RECITED MAJLISIS IN THE HOUSE OF THE MARHUM. HE RECITED ABOUT 70 MEMORABLE MAJLISIS DURING HIS STAY IN KANODAR GUIDED THE PEOPLE TO BECOME FIRM ON THE RIGHT PATH AND KEEP PATIENCE IN THE TIMES OF CALAMITIES AND DIFFICULTIES.

IMAM-E-ZAMIN :
WHEN HAJI NAJI SAHEB STARTED BY TRAIN FOR ZIYARAT OF IRAN AND IRAQ, A BIG MASS OF MOMINS WERE GATHERED AT THE RAILWAY STATION OF KANODAR (PALANPUR) TO WELCOME AND SEE HIM OFF WITH GARLANDS . EVERY ONE GARLANDED HIM AND TIED IMEM-E-ZAMIN. EVERY ONE EMBARRASSED HIM WITH TEARS IN EYES AND PRAYED FOR HIS SAFE JOURNEY AND RETURN.

NOTE :
HAJI NAJI SAHEB LIKED THIS CUSTOM OF IMEM-E-ZAMIN, SO ON HIS RETURN FROM ZIYARAT HE PUBLISHED IN RAH-E-NAJAT WITH A SPECIAL NOTE IN WHICH HE APPEALED TO  ADOPT THIS CUSTOM EVERY WHERE.

A SWEET REPRIMAND :

ALLAMA WENT TO IRAQ FOR THE THIRD TIME TO ATTEND THE PARTICULAR DAYS OF MOHARRAM IN H.S./1331. HE MET AYATOLLAH SHAIKH MOHAMMED HUSSEIN, SON OF AYATOLLAH SHAIKH ZAINUL ABEDEEN MAZANDARANI AFTER ASHURA. SHAIKH SAHEB, IN A VERY SOPHISTICATED MANNER REPRIMANDED HIM THAT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER FOR HIM TO STAY IN INDIA AND CARRY ON THE WORK OF TABLIGH-E-DIN INSTEAD OF COMING FOR ZIYARAT. HIS MISSION IN THAT AREA WAS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THAT. SO HE DEEMED BETTER TO GO BACK TO INDIA SOON.

DOAS OF USTAD :
HIS USTAD WAS MULLA QADIR HUSSEIN SAHEB. ALLAMA WAS HIS BEST PUPIL WHEN MULLA QADIR HUSSEIN SAHEB USED TO GO OUT, ALLAMA USED TO CLEAN HIS SHOES AND ARRANGE PROPERLY. LOOKING THIS SORT OF DEVOTION TOWARDS HIM. MULLA QADIR PRAYED FOR HIM. MY SON ! TODAY YOU ARE LIFTING MY SHOES, TOMORROW PEOPLE WILL LIKE TO LIFT YOUR SHOES.
